Hydrostop

Hydro-Stop procedures allow the shutting down of Water Mains under pressure where no operational valves exist. The work is performed with specialized materials and equipment. Once the excavation is opened and shored around the water main, a sleeve is installed around the main with a temporary valve mounted above the main. The main is then drilled and a temporary plug is installed to stop the flow. If a permanent valve or tee connection is being made, 2 stops may be required. After the connection or new valve installation is complete, the plug and temporary valve are removed and the sleeve is permanently capped – all while under line pressure. Our staff has the latest equipment, the proper training and the experience of over 20 years safely performing this work.
